What the email list is for

The Cheviot Community Foundation uses the Cheviot Pub Crawl email list to send announcements about upcoming Cheviot Pub Crawls and closely related community events. We do not add people to campaign mailings until they confirm their subscription through a confirmation email.

What we keep

To document consent and comply with our hosting provider’s anti-spam requirements, we keep the subscriber’s name, email address, signup date/time, signup IP address, confirmation date/time, confirmation IP address, subscription status, unsubscribe status, and bounce history.

How confirmation works

After signing up, the subscriber receives one confirmation message containing a link to this policy and a unique confirmation link. Pub Crawl campaign messages are sent only after that link is used.

Sharing

We do not sell the email list. Subscriber information is used for Cheviot Pub Crawl and related community-event communications and for operating the email system.

Unsubscribe

Every campaign email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribed addresses are excluded from future campaigns unless the person later signs up and confirms again.

Bounces

Undeliverable addresses are tracked. An address is removed from future campaigns after no more than five recorded bounces.
